From handing out tarps and donuts with his dad as a kid to building bridges for veterans today, giving back has always been at the heart of who Jessie is.
He joined the Army in 2013, expecting to serve just one term—but instead found a deep sense of purpose in service, especially in mentoring new soldiers.
In 2022, Jessie was medically retired due to fibromyalgia. The transition wasn’t easy—he faced depression, drinking, and a sense of being lost. But in the summer of 2023, he decided to take his life back.
He enrolled at Cypress College, found strength and community through the Veteran Resource Center, and began helping others navigate the transition from military to civilian life. It was then that his mission reignited—one rooted in resilience, purpose, and giving back.
